France is a large country and there are many different areas which attract the visitor, but when we talk of holidaying in France, the first word that always springs to mind is 'Provence'. Peter Mayle, through his recent books, has re-emphasised the attraction of the area which has always been very popular, particularly with those who are searching for sun, scenery and a relaxed way of life.
Golf Rouvede is situated 3 km south
of the village of Flassans sur Issole in Var, on the road to Gonfaron
(7 km). The farmhouse is adjacent to a quiet road and faces South
with a view across a meadows, fields and wooded hills to the Massif
des Maures mountains. 20 mins to the West is the large town of
Brignoles with access to the Autoroute. The coast is about 30
mins away, with Toulon about 40 mins. To the East is Le Luc and
Le Muy, with a short run down to Frejus and St. Raphael. Cannes
and Antibes are next and Nice is about an hour and a quarter by
Autoroute. Aix en Provence and Marseilles are both less than an
hour away.

The view below, shows the position of the house overlooking
a vast area of forest, heath and meadowland. One of the vineyards
can be seen towards the bottom left hand corner.
The house (arrowed in red) looks out over
the meadows and woodlands and one of the Domaine vineyards is
visible in the L.R.H corner of the largest meadow.
Flassans
has a very useful website(in English) here
which also has links to neighbouring villages, each of which has
links to neighbouring villages... etc... etc... which probably
means that, at least, the whole of Var is covered -- I don't know
- I haven't got that far yet!
